Affiliate Marketing

Earn 20% of every sale you refer. Logier runs its own affiliate program — first-party tracking, a 30-day hold, and payouts straight to your bank through Stripe.

If you recommend Logier to other people, the affiliate program pays you a share of what they spend. You get a referral link, a dashboard showing what it has earned, and payouts to your own bank account.

The program runs on Logier's own infrastructure. Referrals are tracked by a first-party cookie set by logier.dev itself, commissions are calculated from the actual Stripe charge, and payouts go out through Stripe Connect. There is no third-party affiliate network in the middle.

What you need#

• —An active Logier license. The program is open to customers only. Recommending a tool you have actually used is the only kind of recommendation worth paying for, and it is why the program stays worth being part of.
• —A Stripe account to receive payouts. You can create one during onboarding — you don't need one beforehand.

You do not need a website, an audience of a certain size, or an application.

Joining#

1. Go to logier.dev/affiliates, or open your profile page and follow the Affiliate Program link.
2. Read the terms shown on the page — commission, hold period, minimum payout, and cookie window are all listed there, straight from the program's configuration.
3. Press Join the program.

That's the whole thing. Your referral link is ready immediately, and joining twice does nothing — you always get the same code back.

Your referral link#

Your link looks like this: https://www.logier.dev/r/ab7k2m9p

The code is eight characters drawn from an alphabet that leaves out the ones people mistype when reading a link aloud — no 0/O, no 1/l/I. Codes are case-insensitive, so /r/AB7K2M9P and /r/ab7k2m9p are the same link.

By default the link lands on the homepage. Append ?to=/pricing — or any other path — to send people somewhere specific. Only paths on logier.dev are accepted; anything else falls back to the homepage.

Share it anywhere you'd normally recommend Logier — a blog post, a video description, a conference slide, a message to a colleague. If a code is ever read aloud rather than clicked, it still works: the alphabet was chosen for exactly that.

How referrals are tracked#

When someone opens your link, Logier records the click and sets two first-party cookies on logier.dev, then redirects them onward. They see a normal page load.

• —The attribution window is 60 days. Anything they buy in that time is credited to you, whether they buy on the first visit or five weeks later.
• —Last click wins. If they click somebody else's link after yours, the later one takes over. That's the industry norm, and it means the person who actually sent the buyer gets paid.
• —Attribution is read server-side at checkout. The cookie is HttpOnly, so no page script — including one on Logier's own site — can read or forge it.
• —Clicks are counted per browser, not per visit. Someone who opens your link five times is one visitor, so the numbers reflect reach rather than refreshes.

Visitors can see and remove their referral. On the pricing page, an active referral shows as "Affiliate referral is active for this checkout" with a control to clear it. A referral somebody can't see or get rid of isn't one worth having.

What you earn#

20% of the amount actually charged. Not 20% of list price — 20% of what the customer's card was billed, after bulk tiering and after any discount they used. If a five-seat order comes to $179.95 after the volume tier, your commission is $35.99.

The rate that applied to a sale is recorded on the commission itself when it is created. If the program's rate ever changes, it applies to future sales only and can never rewrite what you were already owed.

Two things earn nothing:

• —Buying through your own link. That's asking for 20% off, not earning a commission.
• —Sales that get refunded. See below.

The hold period, and refunds#

Every commission sits on hold for 30 days from the sale before it becomes payable. The dashboard shows it as On hold, then Ready to pay once the hold elapses.

The hold exists to cover refunds. Paying out on day one and refunding the customer on day ten means asking for money back from someone who has already spent it; 30 days is comfortably past the point where refunds cluster.

If a referred sale is refunded before the commission has been paid out, the commission is reversed. It shows as Refunded and drops out of every total — a refunded sale reads as though it never happened, rather than as a negative line you have to reason about. Refunds on commissions that were already paid out are not clawed back automatically.

Getting paid#

Payouts run through Stripe Connect.

1. On the affiliate dashboard, press Connect with Stripe.
2. Stripe collects your details and runs its identity checks directly. Logier never sees your bank details, and there is nothing to paste back afterwards.
3. When you return, the dashboard re-reads your account status from Stripe rather than assuming you finished.

If Stripe still needs something — usually an identity document or a bank account — the dashboard says so and offers Finish Stripe setup. Your commissions keep accruing in the meantime; nothing is lost while onboarding is incomplete.

A payout is sent once both of these are true:

• —Your Ready to pay balance is at least $25.00, and
• —your Stripe account has payouts enabled.

Balances under the minimum roll over to the next payout rather than being paid out piecemeal — Stripe charges per transfer, and paying out $1.60 the moment it clears burns a meaningful fraction of it in fees.

You don't need to request anything. Eligible balances are reviewed and transferred by Logier, and each transfer appears in the Payouts list on your dashboard with its date, amount, and status.

Reading your dashboard#

The dashboard is at logier.dev/affiliates. It shows:

• —Visitors — unique browsers that opened your link, with total clicks underneath.
• —Customers — referred visitors who actually bought.
• —Earned — everything you've ever earned, excluding refunded sales.
• —Paid out — total already transferred to you.
• —On hold — earned, but the 30-day hold hasn't elapsed yet.
• —Ready to pay — hold elapsed, not yet paid. This is what the next payout sends.

Below that, Commissions lists each referred sale with its date, the sale amount, your share, and its status (On hold, Ready to pay, Paid, Refunded). Payouts lists every transfer that has been sent.

The page is signed-in only and excluded from search engines — it contains one person's earnings.

Best Practices#

The program is intended for genuine recommendations.

• —Write about what Logier actually does for you. People trust honest experiences far more than advertisements.
• —Send people to the page that matches what you wrote about — ?to=/pricing from a review, the homepage from a general mention.
• —Disclose the affiliate relationship. It costs you nothing and it's required in most jurisdictions.
• —Don't bid on Logier's brand terms, spam links, or buy through your own link. Affiliate accounts can be suspended, and a suspended account stops tracking clicks and stops being paid.

Troubleshooting#

The affiliate page says a licence is required

The program is open to customers with an active license. If you've just bought one, reload the page — it checks your license fresh each time. If it still says this a few minutes after purchase, contact info@aspecs.ch.

Someone bought through my link but no commission appeared

Check the timing against the 60-day window, and check whether they clicked a different affiliate's link more recently — last click wins. Commissions from a completed checkout appear within moments; if the buyer's account is your own, self-referrals are skipped by design.

A commission shows as Refunded

The customer's purchase was refunded, so the commission was reversed. It's excluded from your totals.

My balance is Ready to pay but nothing has been transferred

Payouts need a connected Stripe account with payouts enabled, and a balance of at least $25.00. The Getting paid section on the dashboard says which of the two is outstanding.

Closing#

Recommend Logier to the people who'd actually get something out of it, and the program pays you a fifth of what they spend — tracked on our own servers, held long enough to be honest about refunds, and paid to your bank without you having to chase it.
